Vegetables- Dense Nutrition

Which Would You Rather Eat?

Dry kibble is heated to 400 degrees F, often colored with artificial dyes, is loaded with empty carbs, and lacks any sort of nutritionally dense foods which dogs need to be healthy. Kibble that is loaded with carbs often lead to inflammation and other health issues.

Real Food For Dogs

Real proteins include wild caught fish, pasture-raised pork, cow and chickens along with certain organ meats. Vegetables include carrots, spinach, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, butter beans, kale, swiss chard, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, mushrooms and so on (organic if possible).

The Dog Food Companies Know What's Best Right?

When I made the decision to ween my Labrador 'Salty' off of commercial kibble, it was a struggle despite my understanding of its lack of nutrition and that it would likely to lead to health issues down the road. First, I thought I was buying quality kibble. Second, it was very convenient to scoop out her cup and serve. And lastly, I didn't want to deprive her of any nutrition or vitamins feeding her real, whole foods. That one doesn't even make sense....Over the years, I too had been convinced that kibble was what any dog needed. This struggle was a very eye-opening experience for me seeing how the dog food companies had trained me. No More!
